We understand that you recently saw the earnings listed on your “Download
Stats” page drop. Don't worry. The apparent drop in earnings occurred because
we stopped including previously withheld taxes when we display your earnings.
Here are answers to questions you might have about this change.

Did Shutterstock deduct earnings from my account?
- No. Rest assured we have not deducted any earnings from your account.

Is my earnings rate declining? Is my tax withholding increasing?
- No and no. You are still earning at the same rate as before, and the tax
withholding process remains the same.

What changed, and why?
- Previously, the gross earnings on your Download Stats page reflected your
total earnings since your last payment, plus your previously withheld taxes.
Now we show only your total earnings since your last payment. We believe this
new figure is a more convenient way to keep track of your actual earnings.

Can I still see the amount of my previously withheld taxes?
- Yes. You'll see your withheld tax amount listed in red on the “Payment
History” page.
