Content: The majority of regular new uploads by Exclusive contributors will be added into the the Signature collection by default. Under-performing files in the Signature collection may be moved down into the Essentials collection. Better performing files may be moved up into the Signature Plus collection.

What is the Signature Plus collection?

Content: Signature Plus or Sig+ as it is often called, is a virtual collection that iStockphoto uses to manage higher value content that is mirrored to Getty Images. The files in this collection come from the previous Signature Plus and Vetta collections. Only files from Exclusive contributors may be added to the Signature Plus collection. Better performing files from lower priced collections may be moved up into Signature Plus.

Signature Plus is an administration tool to help get files mirrored to Getty Images. It is not visible to buyers as a separate entity. Files that are are assigned to this collection will sell at the regular Signature price point for normal pay as you go credit purchases. On the Asset Detail Page, the price shown is the same for Signature and Signature Plus files. Signature Plus files do however earn a higher royalty than Signature files for Stock Image subscription sales.

Mirroring: Exclusive files in the Signature Plus collection will be mirrored to Getty Images. Exclusive contributors can nominate files for inclusion in Signature Plus, much like they could previously nominate for Vetta / Signature Plus, if they wish them to be mirrored to Getty Images. Files must be nominated at the time of upload for inclusion in Signature Plus.
